John
is an operational Station Commander (Station Officer) with New South Wales
(NSW) Fire Brigades, Australia. The NSW Fire Brigades is a large
state-wide department which employs approximately 6,000 operational
firefighters. John was previously attached to No. 59 Station, Eastwood,
which is one of 337 professional metropolitan and town fire stations
located within the state. It comprises of two appliances and is charged
with additional rescue responsibilities by the NSW State Rescue Board.
John is now manager of the NSW Fire Brigades’ Firefighting Section,
having completed implementing CFBT Level I (Demo Cell) across the NSWFB. CFBT II
(Attack Cell) and III (Multi-cell) are being delivered as part of a
constantly evolving program.
